Internships (Berlin)

 

Rohde Public Policy is currently looking for interns for our team in Berlin.

The internship will involve the monitoring and reporting of developments in German policies and the stakeholders who are involved. This information will be analysed by you in collaboration with Rohde Public Policy’s Policy Department.

Activities and tasks shall include:

  • Actively researching political developments in Germany at federal and state level for ongoing projects
  • Monitoring of public health stakeholders, policy makers etc.
  • Detailed monitoring of news and information on public health and policy at national level, in the broadest possible way.
  • Keep track of Parliamentary agendas, parliamentary questionsm etc. and assure proper follow-up
  • Assisting in research work on ongoing and planned projects
  • Updating external meetings and events calendars
  • Servicing consultants regularly with specifically processed information, and also supporting them with ad-hoc requests and advice

The candidate should have

  • An academic degree, or comparable in preferably political sciences, law, European studies or communications
  • Strong research skills
  • Proven knowledge of the working of the political Institutions (e.g. by experience obtained during a previous internship in Bundestag/Landtag or in ministries)
  • An excellent command of German and English (working languages)
  • Proper social and communication skills, most importantly in drafting comprehensive but concise research papers
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle several requests in a proper, timely fashion.
  • Good knowledge of  Microsoft Office applications

 

The internships will last 6 months and should start on 15 June 2010.
