Policy researcher/analyst UK

Rohde Public Policy is currently looking for a policy researcher/analyst to join our team, who would be based in London starting in the first quarter of 2010. We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated person who is capable of understanding and analysing political developments and the political system in Westminster with an analytical mind and creative approach. The candidate should have excellent organisational skills.
This position will involve:
- Close monitoring and analysis of political developments in Westminster and throughout the UK and development of these findings in value for our clients
- Working on our projects in the UK, and contributing to projects ongoing in our existing offices in Brussels and Berlin
- Contributing to Rohde Public Policy’s growing political network in London
- Working closely, both remotely and in person, with our consultants in Brussels and Berlin
- Supporting the opening and running of a London office
This position will require the following attributes:
- Experience of working within the Parliament or civil service for at least six months
- Excellent knowledge of the UK political system, with understanding of its processes and working norms
- A good network of political contacts
- An analytical mind and good political judgement
- Ability to contribute to Rohde Public Policy’s excellent working environment with a vibrant personality and considerate manner
- Excellent written and spoken English, with knowledge of other languages considered a significant attribute
