Leire Solis

Political experience

Leire joined Rohde Public Policy in 2010. She works as a policy analyst in the Brussels office.Her previous experience at the Committee of the Regions has provided Leire with a sound understanding of the EU decision making process. In this sense, she participated in the analysis of policy dossiers, in the draft of position papers and liaised with other relevant European institutions and stakeholders. Working for the Basque Regional Government and for a British regional representation in Brussels have provided her with a deep knowledge of regional matters within the EU, as she followed and analysed the main European dossiers from a regional perspective.

International trade experience

Previously, Leire worked in the Trade Department of the Spanish Embassy in Paris. She was in charge of promoting Spanish companies in France, by drafting market analysis, responding to enquiries about the French market and assisting in enterprises’ participation to international trade fairs.  

Academia

Leire holds a Bachelor degree in Sociology from the University of Deusto (Spain) and the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium). She also obtained a Master Degree in International Relations from the San Pablo-CEU University (Spain).

Leire speaks Spanish, French and English and has a good knowledge of German.
