Marc-Angelo has been with Rohde Public Policy in Brussels since 2006 and has been in charge of the Rohde Public Policy´s office in Berlin from its launch in early 2007. Marc-Angelo combines experience in a national policy environment with a scientific background providing him with a valuable understanding of scientific elements and an excellent network in the scientific community.

Political Experience

From his prior time in the German Parliament and his language skills, Marc-Angelo brings in the necessary knowledge to transport EU policies and initiatives into the Members States while understanding the different functioning of policy making at this level. In the Bundestag, Marc-Angelo worked as an assistant to a leading Member of Parliament in the areas of research and education. His work focused on dossier analysis, speech writing and drafting of press releases.

Science and Research

Thanks to his strong experience working as a researcher in molecular cell biology Marc-Angelo also contributes to developing the project´s sometimes complex medical and scientific backgrounds into concise policy messages. His university based fundamental research that resulted in several publications in well-rated journals thereby contrasts with the experience gained in and a well-known, international drug discovery company.

Academia

Marc-Angelo owns a Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology and a Master in Biochemistry from the University of Hamburg and speaks German, French, English and Italian.
