Sebastian Rohde
Sebastian Rohde has founded Rohde Public Policy in April 2002. He has since developed the company in a strong consulting firm working out of Brussels and Berlin.
In-house Industry Experience
Prior to founding Rohde Public Policy, Sebastian has worked for three years at Brussel based multinational and leading healthcare company specialising in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and medical devices. Sebastian headed the Government Affairs and Public Affairs Department in Europe, which included the advocacy work at EU level as well as the coordination of government affairs activities and reimbursement-related projects throughout Europe. Sebastian was also member of the European Board.
Consultancy Experience
Prior to this, Sebastian worked at the then leading healthcare public affairs consultancy, based in Brussels, where he was in charge of the Healthcare clients account. His focus was the advocacy and cooperation with the EU institutions on various projects involving the healthcare sector and patient organisations.
Political Experience
Prior to having worked in consultancy, Sebastian was the head of office to a Member of the European Parliament, specialised in the healthcare and biotechnology policy area.
Think Tank & Academic Experience
Before working in the European Parliament, Sebastian has worked for a major public policy think tank in Washington D.C. Prior to working in Washington D.C., Sebastian has worked as a lecturer in Political Science at the University of Birmingham. He holds a Master Degree in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Birmingham.
Political Campaigning
In addition, Sebastian has worked on a number of political election campaigns (regional, national and European elections) in Europe and election campaigns in Latin America.
Further Positions
Sebastian is the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of a healthcare company, an advisor to policy committees of various associations and member of the Advisory Committee of Health First Europe.
Sebastian speaks German, English, French and Spanish with good knowledge of Dutch.
